Vision and Mission - Value for the community
Vision: We improve the quality of life in Airdrie by growing opportunities for the community to come together through sport and activity.
Mission: “Growth Model to deliver the value to the community” - Facilitate “growth” in participation, competition and community engagement.
We facilitate expanded participation and community engagement in activities & sports by connecting, supporting and advocating for Airdrie organizations.
Primary Focus:
1. GROWTH: Increase and enhance participation opportunities.
a. Increase Participation - Creates a sustainable model for sport bodies and the well being of the community.
b. Enhance Participation – Drives athlete development, and quality of participation opportunities.
2. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Assist the Sport bodies in community, partner, and peer engagement.
a. Awareness - raise the profile of the sports community in Airdrie.
b. Organizational effectiveness – provide, train, coach, and share best practices for effective
communication, volunteer, fundraising, coaching and & funding strategies.
3. ADVOCACY: Bridge relationships with sport community, municipal, and provincial governments.
a. Sports communities – facilitates connection and collaboration amongst sporting groups.
b. Municipal government – provide a conduit for “distilled” two-way communication and collaboration.
c. Provincial Government – leverage opportunities and funding with a stronger voice.
