A Legacy of the 2020 Alberta Winter Games

From February 14-17, 2020 over 2,800 athletes, coaches and officials from across Alberta were in Airdrie to compete, learn and share experiences of a lifetime at the 2020 Alberta Winter Games. As the Host community, we were thrilled to welcome over 6000 visitors to the city.

These Games belong to everyone in the Airdrie region. We were dedicated to our Games being #FocusedOnTheFuture and led as game changers for our city and as a part of our legacy plan, we have transformed our society into the Airdrie Sport Council to continue to support the athletes, sport organizations and members of our community who make up our sport community.
