2006, Chris Glass chose Airdrie as his home and has never looked back. Upon closing on his first home here, Chris immediately found ways to engage and embed himself into the community, and quickly became the Head Coach for George McDougall High School team - the Mustangs.
Chris' football community ranges far and wide, from pee-wee to the pros, as he has spent the last 22 years sharing his passion for football with whomever steps into gear. His passion for high level and safe playing runs deep, and in 2024 along with the Airdrie Field Turf Society, Chris and the team completed the major undertaking of bringing an NFL-level artificially turfed field to Ed Egger Athletic Park. Here, Chris runs the annual Airdrie Football Academy.
Chris' love for Airdrie spans beyond the boundaries of football, as he serves on multiple non-profit boards and committees including the Airdrie CultureFest Society, airdrieFEST, Airdrie Homecoming, and serves as Vice-Chair for the Airdrie Sports Council.
Professionally, Chris' aviation career led him to begin a media company with its flagship podcast Open Skies, where he shares the untold and almost forgotten stories of the industry.
Chris lives in SW Airdrie, with his wife Kim and their three children, Maliyah, and twins, Rhianna and Lincoln.
